Installation of ventilation systems

The air ducts are mounted in the sub-ceiling area, and if the room is not a large shopping center with a high ceiling (or warehouse), then after finishing work they turn out to be hidden behind hemmed or cassette ceilings. This measure serves not only for aesthetics, but also in order to minimize noise from the ventilation system. 

Along with the air ducts, special silencers (if necessary) and electric or water heaters are usually mounted. For the exit of the air ducts to the street and their passage through the premises, holes are punched in the walls and partitions.

The air ducts themselves differ in appearance - they are flexible and rigid, round and rectangular. Flexible corrugated air ducts have a shorter service life and are poorly suited for certain purposes. The choice of the type of duct is carried out based on the budget of the object and the features of the project.For example, we propose to consider the layout of air ducts for a specific object. Rigid round and rectangular air ducts were used.

Detailing of air ducts includes drawings of all component parts of assembly units and for a specific object it looks like this:

The unit is connected to the power supply and the signal and power cables of the automation system are wired:

• heaters are connected,
• cables are led out to control panels,
• the necessary protections are put.

Power cables are led to the place where the control panel is installed.

At this stage, the following elements are laid:

• elements of the automation system,
• heat supply or cold supply pipelines,
• control elements, such as air valves and throttle valves, are mounted,
• and also air distributing devices and anemostats installation are carried out.

After the ceiling of the room is made (lowered), and special adapters for the grilles are mounted in the ceiling zone, you can proceed to the installation of grids or anemostats.

Anemostats can be connected directly to the air ducts of the corresponding diameter, but it is more correct to do it with the help of a special adapter - a plenum.

Here is an example of detailing for plenum boxes (air distribution device), received by installers before starting work.

Installation of fans, heaters, filters, back-pressure valves, silencers, as well as additional devices:

• dampers (electrical or mechanical) for air distribution regulation;
• additional temperature sensors,
• humidity sensors,
• air quality sensors,
• fire detectors, etc.

If the ventilation system at the facility is implemented on the basis of an air supply and exhaust unit, then, the cost of installation work is calculated depending on its capacity.

Supply and exhaust units with heat recovery, allowing to not only control air exchange, but also to work using the recovered heat of the room air, are most common. Due to this, you can save up to 40% of the amount spent on energy resources for unit operation.

During commissioning, the power cables of the system are connected, the start-up, adjustment and debugging of the working supply and exhaust ventilation system are carried out. If all installation steps are followed, the installation will run smoothly and efficiently.
