IMPLEMENTATION APPROACHES

​Implementing a full-fledged ventilation system is not easy to install one ventilator in the bedroom and exhaust fans in the bathroom and toilets.

This is a more capacious process. In its projects, Alter Air uses 2 approaches to organize centralized and decentralized ventilation - both on the basis of supply and exhaust units with recuperation. They`ve already proven their efficiency and lower energy consumption.

We propose to consider them and compare them with the classical approach (approach №2).

Here we are talking about a relatively inexpensive but effective option for organizing decentralized ventilation in a small apartment.

ADDITIONALLY INTEGRATED FUNCTIONAL

CO2 SENSOR

The CO2 sensor is used to monitor carbon dioxide levels. It is installed in each room and constantly monitors air quality parameters. When the CO2 level rises, it sends a signal to the ventilation system, a problem is fixed in a certain room and more air needs to be supplied there (by means of VAV valves). Upon normalization of the indicators, the sensor again transmits information to the installation and the VAV valves are closed, reducing the volume of air supplied.


Data-link CO2 sensor

Data-link CO2 sensor also measures the level of carbon dioxide, is installed in the air ducts of the ventilation system. However, it often shows the "average" value between the two rooms, as there is a mixture of air flows from different rooms. For example, if you have a CO2 level of 850 ppm in the bedroom and 600 ppm in the nursery, the data-link sensor will show about 700 ppm. This inaccuracy does not allow the ventilation system to respond correctly to changes in air quality.

VAV valves

With the help of VAV-valves the ventilation system with variable air supply is organized. Valves are installed in the ceiling space, their number is calculated separately for each room. Part of the valves regulates the volume of supply air, based on the readings of CO2 sensors, part of the valves are programmed for extraction. Their work is controlled by the BoostButton programmer.

VAV valves allow to improve air quality in each separate room, their use makes the ventilation system more effective and comfortable for inhabitants.

BoostButton Programmers

BoostButton is a chip that is built into a separate switch or double light switch in bathrooms, toilets, pantries, kitchens and utility rooms. When the switch is pressed, the BoostButton activates the enhanced exhaust air with specially programmed VAV valves.

The most important advantage of Boost keys together with VAV-valves is realization of exhaust ventilation from "dirty" zones without use of exhaust fans. BoostButton are bought and installed within the limits of the organization of ventilation system with a variable air expense.

COOLBREEZE COOLING MODULE

CoolBreeze cooling module (compatible with Jablotron Futura installations).It is used to cool the supply of hot air. However, this should not be confused with a full-fledged air conditioning system, as the module covers the need for air cooling only in the off-season. But, unlike classical conditioning, it does it smoothly and constantly maintains the set temperature.

FILTERS

Ventilation units already include F7 fine filters and G4 coarse filters. Optionally, a carbon filter is purchased for better filtration of polluted air. It is intended for short-term use. For example, if the air quality on the street has deteriorated sharply due to the burning of peat bogs or a fire nearby. It is installed after F7 fine filters (in Jablotron Futura M / L, in other vents the filter is placed in the place of air intake, requires recalculation of the system, as well as complicates the installation and replacement of the filter itself).It intensively cleans the air, removes some chemical gases and odors.

We recommend using carbon filters if necessary and, of course, do not forget to replace them in a timely manner.

SMART HOME SYSTEM

Advanced functionality includes the organization of the "Smart Home" system, which allows you to control all systems and appliances in the apartment or house. You can implement "Smart Home" in 2 ways: using the ModBus protocol and using the KNX protocol.

The undeniable advantage of Jablotron Futura-based ventilation is that the ModBus protocol is already included in the ventilation system.

Other KNX vents provide this option, which increases the cost of automating engineering systems.

Data-link steam humidifier

Data-link steam humidifier - needed to maintain an optimal level of humidity. Will be required if the vent is not equipped with an enthalpy recuperator. The enthalpy recuperator allows to recycle not only heat, but also moisture from the air removed by air. If the heat exchanger does not have such properties, the purchase of a steam generator will be a justified decision. Although it's quite expensive: the cost of the basic version of the Condair CP3mini is 3,000 euros. Replacement of filter elements will cost about 300 euros. In a season it is necessary to change 1, sometimes 2 filters.

Therefore, we recommend thinking about the necessity for such an option. If you are just choosing a ventilation system - it is definitely better to buy an installation with an enthalpy heat exchanger that can humidify the supply air and maintain the optimal level of humidity in the house.

Air currents are given in different directions, evenly scattering and avoiding any drafts. Outwardly, only laconic lines on the ceiling remain visible.

A low-pressure internal duct unit Daikin FDXM 35F is installed in the ceiling space of the bathroom - it works to cool the bedroom. It is accessed through hatches. The capacity of the air conditioner is enough to service rooms up to 35 m2, which is optimal for a given room. The lowering of the ceiling in a technical room was 300 mm.

Indirect heating boiler Drazice

Vertical indirect heating boiler Drazice OKSE 200 l is designed to provide apartment residents with hot water. The inner surface of the tank is covered with high-quality enamel without nickel, which ensures a long operation of the water heater, and there is also an anti-corrosion coating. The temperature inside can be kept between 7 and 77 ℃. The water heating indicator always shows the current temperature on the front of the tank. There is a fast heating function. This is an excellent solution for an apartment, allowing you not to depend on seasonal blackouts and other inconveniences.

Expansion tank Zilmet

The Zilmet expansion tank is designed to compensate extra pressure in the heating system. Works in conjunction with the Vaillant electric boiler above. The special inner lining of the tank prevents the growth of any bacteria, that is, the water does not acquire a metallic taste, does not stagnate or change its properties.

Refiner Ecowater - water softening and filtration system

A modern system for filtering and softening water: cleans water from all kinds of impurities and odors, neutralizes iron, making it soft, pleasant and safe for household appliances, water pipes and human use.
